Diplomate Bio
As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Eric Hopkins example of ethical dedication to compassionate and quality dental care was instilled early. He received his undergraduate bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 1985 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1989. He has since enjoyed the service and rewards as a private practice, hometown, full spectrum general dentist.
Even while a dental student, Dr. Hopkins was dissatisfied with the inadequacies of traditional tooth replacement options, especially partial and full dentures. In 1998, he began the path to better options. Over the course of that year, he attended advanced dental implant training at Brookdale Hospital in New York City, under the instruction of Dr. Norman Cranin, one of the pioneers of implant dentistry. He successfully completed this AAID Maxicourse in 1999.
For many years he applied his implant craft implementing the advancements of the science of implantoloty through ongoing training with leaders in the field. Between the quantity and quality of his surgical and implant cases performed, the hundreds of hours of advanced implant continuing education, and successful evaluation and testing, he achieved his Associate Fellow with the AAID in 2017. His skill level was further qualified in 2018 becomming the 3rd dentist in Oklahoma to achieve his Diplomate status with the ABOI.
Dr. Hopkins and his team find it extremely rewarding to restore a confident smile to all ages of patients that have experienced the stigma, reduced confidence, and speaking/chewing challenges associated with single to full mouth tooth loss. There is nothing quite like watching a patient's first glance in the mirror or hearing the story of their first meal with the anchoring stability of implant tooth replacement.
