Diplomates
Congratulations to the 2023 ABOI Diplomates!
The ABOI Board of Directors inducted 21 new Diplomates during the AAID Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Diplomates of the ABOI/ID represent a diverse cross-section of clinicians; private practice and academic, surgical, and restorative. Specialties represented among ABOI Diplomates include general practice, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, and prosthodontics. The ABOI/ID Diplomate designation symbolizes the highest level of competence in implant dentistry. Certification by the ABOI/ID attests to the fact that a dentist has demonstrated knowledge, ability, and proficiency in implant dentistry through a rigorous examination process.
The certification examination is psychometrically valid and reliable, and is administered under secure, fair, and unbiased conditions. Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge, and proficient skills and abilities in both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry as well as in critical aftercare even if they perform only the surgical or restorative phase.
The ABOI/ID examination is open to all qualified implant practitioners regardless of specialty or organizational affiliation, i.e., applicants and Diplomates are not required to belong to any implant membership organization.
